FRATELLI TALLIA DI DELFINO – ITALIAN IDENTITY THROUGH THE ART OF WEAVING

Italian Textile Heritage Since 1903

Established in 1903 in Strona, nestled in the picturesque Biella region of Italy, Fratelli Tallia di Delfino is a historic textile mill deeply rooted in the country’s tradition of fine suiting fabrics. For more than a century, the house has developed collections that bring together traditional weaving techniques, carefully selected fibres and the creative spirit of Italian menswear.

The story of Tallia di Delfino began in 1903, when Delfino Tallia established his textile manufacturing business. In 1921, the next generation expanded the company under the name Fratelli Tallia di Delfino. The mill continued to advance its production techniques while maintaining close connections with renowned Italian tailoring houses and designers.

The Art of Fibres and Weaving

What distinguishes Tallia di Delfino fabrics is the diversity of fibres and finishing techniques. From Merino wool and cashmere to silk, mohair and linen, each material offers distinct qualities in softness, weight, texture and structure. Refined neutral shades, checks, stripes and distinctive woven textures provide a wide range of possibilities for both business suits and formal attire.

Tallia di Delfino Fabrics in Bespoke Tailoring

In bespoke tailoring, fabric selection involves considering both comfort and garment construction. Wool fabrics with sufficient body help maintain a clean, structured silhouette, while softer materials with a natural drape can create a more relaxed appearance. Fabric weight, weave and individual characteristics also influence how well a material performs in different climates and wearing conditions.

At VBS Tailor, Fratelli Tallia di Delfino fabrics offer a rich selection of colours, textures and styles for bespoke garments. Each fabric is carefully considered according to the wearer’s physique, intended use and personal preferences, creating pieces that bring together skilled craftsmanship and individual expression.
